Supply Chain Analyst

The Role

Orbit Industries is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to aid in coordination of international logistics and Inventory Planning. Key duties are including but not limited to monitoring inbound container flow, scheduling work sequence, verifying 3PL bills, and preparing weekly and monthly KPI reports. Potential candidate is encouraged to seek opportunities for improvements.

Responsibilities

Serve as the main liaison between Orbit Supply Chain team, warehouse, A/P and 3PL. Coordinate documentation exchange, container scheduling and payment arrangement.
Review and organize import documentation. Verify shipment pricing and quantities through 3-way match. Prepare necessary documents for warehouses.
Proactively monitor and track inbound shipment status. Coordinate containers with 3PL and warehouse to make sure that containers are unloaded in a timely manner and no additional per diem charges incurred during the stay.
Verify freight invoices for A/P and negotiate with freight forwarder whenever necessary. Ensure timely and accurate processing for high volume of invoices before month end.
Manage and maintain delivery and invoice databases for reporting and analyzing purposes.
Conduct Demand Analysis and Inventory Planning for a line of products to maintain the right inventory level. Constantly communicate with factory on products’ production status and revert information back to Sales/Product Manager.
Work closely with product engineers to conduct artwork management, carton inspection and new product development.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Industrial Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent).
Good communication skills—effective listening, speaking, and writing.
Self-motivated, independent, ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Able to work independently with little supervision.
Able to perform data analysis.
Knowledge of ERP System is a plus. Experience with Sage 300 is a plus.
