Orbit Industries is seeking Software and Website Development interns to aid in developing Orbit’s website.  Interns will be assigned projects such as development of features on Orbit’s website.     

Responsibilities:

- Develop new features and fix bugs for company's new website based on Joomla, a PHP open source CMS.
- Design and implement user interface for company's new website.
- Design and implement new internal database system ensuring proper database architectures.
- Aid in updating Orbit’s products and description on website.
- Set up and maintain the web server based on LAMP.

Qualifications:

- BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).
- A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and web development.
- Extensive programming experience in one or more of the following: HTML&CSS, JavaScript/AJAX, PHP, SQL.
- Experience with Linux system, Apache and MySQL.
- Knowledge of cross-browser / cross-platform issues.
- Excellent understanding of web standards and common best practices.
- Experience with Joomla or other CMS is a plus.
- Experience with developing UI is a plus.
