Orbit’s Universal Mounting Adjustable Boxes (UMAB and UMAB-4R Series) are the best way to mount extra deep 4" square boxes or 4O compatible devices. Ideal for installing oversized notification devices, LED wafer lights, sensors, and exit signs. Loosen two outer screws to adjust the box depth from flush to 1-1/2” raised. Integral adapter mounts to either open or closed sides of a metal stud. To mount the UMAB or UMAB-4R Series between wall studs or hard-lid ceilings, pair with Orbit's Simple Support Bracket (SSB-T5). For installations between drop-ceiling grids, pair with SSB-TBAR. Also available ready-to-install with mounting bracket as FA-SSB-UMAB, FA-TBAR-UMAB, and SSBT-4R. UL Listed. RoHS Compliant. Patented.
