This new series consists of three different boxes; the T5B-50/200, the T5B-200 and the B-T5B. Each box features up to 75 cubic inches of space, 3-1/4" of depth and can also fit up to a 2" fitting. 

The T5B-50/200 features twelve side KOs, making it perfect for junction box and home run applications.

The T5B-200 features 1/2" up to 1-1/4" KOs and is available in blue as the B-T5B, both which make it ideal for data applications.

Accessories include a blank cover offered in blue or unpainted colors, a reducer for 4" ring compatibility as well as partitions for multi-system installations. 

The 75 cubic inches of space provided by each box results in a quicker and easier wire routing experience. More circuits can be pulled through, reducing conduit and installation costs! Additionally, Orbit's boxes can store the BICSI-recommended slack cable loop, allowing for access and cable termination by a single technician. 

More so than reduced labor costs, this additional space allows installers to easily meet the minimum bend radius required in data wiring. This reduces the chance of short circuits and ground faults due to any cable stress brought on by cramped spaces. Installers will then spend far less time troubleshooting any issues that arise. Currently, Orbit's True 5" Square Boxes support all copper CAT and fiber optic cables available, featuring enough room to house predicted increases.

Orbit's new series of True 5" Square Boxes were designed from the ground up with the contractors and distributor in mind. That's why each box perfectly fits every bracket featured in our Flat Bracket Family and Fixed Box Mounting Bracket series. This includes several kick bracket models, meaning Orbit currently offers the industry's ONLY kick brackets which fit 5" square boxes!

Furthermore, each bracket allows for said 5" square boxes to be mounted using 4" rings, meaning both installers and distributors need not worry about the material costs associated with stocking a whole additional line of new rings.

When a job calls for boxes that can handle a lot, do not hesitate to use Orbit's True 5" Square Boxes for increased labor savings and reduced costs. Every model featured is in stock and ready to ship. 

What sets the HABIT apart is its adjustable and magnetic platform. Installers can easily adjust this platform by hand anywhere up to a 21" box center height. Said platform can then be locked, presetting it the desired height needed and guaranteeing that each installation is a uniform one.

Orbit Industries’ new regional distribution center is fully operational and shipping! Located in Tennessee, this facility is the first established outside of Orbit’s main Los Angeles headquarters – representing an ever-expanding footprint in the industry.

In addition to warehousing, Orbit will also section off a portion of the space to act as a manufacturing plant to meet Made in America standards! Currently Orbit’s BCHS and RAP are manufactured in the US, but with the introduction of such a facility, many more products will follow suit! Manufacturing is expected to be fully operational before mid-2018.

Additionally, a state-of-the-art training center is planned for construction at the plant. Customers, visitors and representatives will be invited to have a hands-on experience with some of Orbit’s most innovative products.

With three different models, the KB-18, KFB-318, and KFB-418, the Flat Kick Brackets offered are some of the most unique in the industry. Measuring at a height of 18”, Orbit’s Flat Kick Brackets are perfect on jobsites where a standard height is needed. Each bracket also features a back support which measures up to 6” for additional stability, as well as a bendable bottom center mark which indicates placement after drywall installation.

Two of the kick bracket models, the KB-18 and KFB-318, further feature a pre-installed Cable Strap (CS-CJ6) for cable support. This CS-CJ6 fits up to 6 sheathed non-metallic cables or 4 MC and AC cables.

The BARB attaches to 4” or 4-11/16” boxes with a single tek screw, forming a versatile box assembly. This assembly can be prefabricated onto a BHA before arriving to the job site or, if already on the field, simply dropped onto the BHA after the hanger is installed.

Preassembling the box assembly on a BHA is quick and easy. Simply drop the box onto the BHA then, utilizing the BARB’s bending locking tabs, lock the assembly onto the hanger. This holds the assembly steady on the hanger preventing any parts from coming loose during shipment.

For In-Field installations, simply drop the BARB assembly onto the desired BHA before or after the hanger has been installed between studs.

Once both the BHA is installed on studs and the BARB has been added, repositioning is easy. Simply adjust the assembly along the hanger with your hand until the desired position is found. Then secure the assembly to the hanger using tek screws. 

Multiple box assemblies can be easily added! Up to 2 between 16” studs and 4 between 24” studs.

The ease at which the BARB can be installed and adjusted along hangers, whether in a controlled environment or on the job site, makes it one of the most versatile products to use when installing boxes on bar hangers. Patent Pending and UL-Listed.

          Using the built-in adapter, the UMAB can be mounted directly-to-stud or used with Orbit’s Simple Support Bracket for between stud and ceiling installations.

          The built-in adapter features guided-slots, allowing the box to be adjusted from flush up to 1-1/2” simply through loosening the outside screws. This adjustability enables the box to easily achieve a flush finish, eliminating any need for an extension ring.

     Featuring multiple CKOs, both the RAP and RAP-T easily fit 4” up to 8” recessed lighting housings. Centerline markings and cut-outs also allow fixtures to be correctly positioned with ease. Perfect for prefab applications, each plate can be preassembled with a fixture in a controlled environment for a quicker installation on the job site.

     Designed for Hard Lid installations, the RAP features slotted holes which allow for an effortless installation in up to 26” stud spacing. The plate itself is offset, with extra length on one side to account for irregular stud spacing. 

     The RAP-T is used for T-Bar applications and drops onto most 2’ wide T-Bar grids with ease. Flanges on the RAP-T provide additional rigidity and feature pre-drilled holes, allowing the plate to secure to the T-Bar via tek screws and ensuring that the fixture is secure. Additional holes on each side of the plate allow for fixture wiring to comply with fire and seismic codes.

          Suspended Box installations have never been so easy! The EZ-Hang Box, Part# D5SDB-CKO-S, is an exclusive product designed to easily secure rods, allowing for a fast and efficient suspended box installation.

          Orbit’s EZ-Hang Box is a Drawn 4-11/16” Square, 2-1/8” Deep Box with three 3/4” KOs on the back. What makes the EZ-Hang Box unique is the 0.27” Diameter Hole, which replaces the back-center KO located on traditional boxes.

          This 0.27” Diameter Hole allows the EZ-Hang Box to effortlessly secure a 1/4” Threaded Rod. No washers are needed throughout the installation, further reducing time spent.

          The EZ-Hang Box also works wonderfully with Orbit’s BCHS Plates, securing to the Plate through the use of a 1/4” Threaded Rod. By easily securing to the Plate, the EZ-Hang Box can be secured using one plate and rod rather than multiple rods, providing an overall more efficient suspended box installation.

          The FMB is available in two different models, the FMB-16 and FMB-24, to accommodate for different stud spacing.

          The FMB-16 mounts up to 3 boxes and rings between 16” studs while the FMB-24 mounts up to 4 between 24”. Both brackets feature various mounting holes which allow for the installation of 4”, 4-11/16” and even 5” square boxes! 4” rings can also be mounted on their own for low voltage applications. 

          When mounted, all boxes are centered along the bracket. Centerline markings and mounting holes on the sides of the bracket allow for the FMB to be installed between studs efficiently every time.

          The BMA is available as the BMA-23 and BMA-4. Both models mount 4” and 4-11/16” boxes directly-to-stud. Mounting holes on the BMA also allow for the installation of 4” rings separately from boxes for low voltage applications.

          Each BMA model features an Adjustable Far Side Support which helps maintain rigidity once the box is installed. The BMA-23 features Far Side Support for 3-1/2” and 2-1/2” deep studs while the BMA-4 features Far Side Support for up to 4” deep studs. Similar to the FMB brackets, the BMA models feature a low profile design the limits drywall bulging when installed.

          Each USB Pop-Up model is a 20A tamper-resistant receptacle with 125VAC. The Covers and Floor Box Assemblies are for use with carpet, tile, or wood floors. Each Floor Box Assembly model includes a cover, receptacle, screws, and a 1-Gang Floor Box. The USB Pop-Up Covers are compatible with Orbit’s PVC Floor Boxes (FLBPU-AR, FLBC-P-R) for concrete slab installation.          The SSB is adjustable from 16” to 24” and allows for the installation of up to 2 boxes between 16” studs and 3 between 24” studs. Once boxes are installed, they can be easily adjusted along the bracket. The SSB eliminates the need for a far-side back support as the bracket maintains its rigidity even when fully extended. Centerline cutouts and a mounting hole located on each side allow for efficient and accurate installations.

          Mounting boxes to the SSB is made simple with Universal Mounting Adapter, UMA, or Stud Mounting Adjustable Rings, WBAR Series. The UMA and the WBAR Series fit 4” and 4-11/16” square boxes and can be used with the SSB for stud-to-stud mounting, or on their own for direct-to-stud mounting.

The UMA accepts boxes and rings to form a versatile box and ring assembly, which can be preassembled and then easily snapped onto the SSB. For direct-to-stud mounting, simply use the centerline cutouts and mounting holes on the UMA’s flanges. The UMA is compatible with Orbit’s Adjustable Rings providing further versatility. 

Like the UMA, the WBAR also can be used as a box adapter for the SSB or on its own for direct-to-stud mounting. The WBAR is available as a 1-gang or 2-gang model, WBAR1G/2G, and has an adjustability range of 1/4" to 1-1/4”. Adjustments can be made before and after installation and infinite extensions can be added in 3/4" increments providing a flush finish wherever wall depths are unknown.

           Finally, the Simple Support Bracket is available preassembled with a UMA and 4” or 4-11/16” square box with a 10” pigtail.

          The TSB has an adjustable range of 16” to 27”, fitting most stud spacing at any height. When fully extended, the TSB’s inward flanges make it one of the most rigid brackets in the industry, eliminating the use of a back support. 

          The TSB is designed to fit 4” (4S), 4-11/16” (5S), and Multi-gang boxes with ease. Different sized junction boxes can be secured simultaneously, all while still maintaining the boxes’ center alignment. When installed, boxes are easily adjustable just by loosening the screws and sliding the box along the bracket before securing.

          Each bracket is designed with a centerline marking and mounting holes to ensure that the installation is accurate and efficient. To install, simply align the mounting holes with the studs and secure.

          The Extra Duty Covers are available in several models, each with a number of device configurations and expandable covers. The 1-Gang Covers are available in either horizontal     (WIUM-1DH) or vertical (WIUM-1DV) models. The horizontal model is expandable to 2-3/4” and 3-1/2” and the vertical model is expandable to 2-3/4” and 4”.  Each model also offers 7 different device configurations. The 2-Gang Covers (WIUM-2U) are universal and are compatible with either horizontal or vertical devices. The 2-Gang Covers are expandable to 3-1/4” and 4-1/2” and have up to 32 different device configurations. The Extra Duty WIU Covers are remarkably adaptable due to this expandability and number of configurations.

          The Extra Duty WIU Covers offer the most protection to your electrical devices. Every model is constructed with Heavy-Duty Die-Cast metal for further protection. A pad-lockable design was added for addition security. NEC requirements as listed below

Complies with NEC 2014 article 406.9 (B) (1) which states, “15- and 20-ampere, 125- and 250-volt receptacles installed in a wet location shall have an enclosure that is weatherproof whether or not the attachment plug is inserted. An outlet box hood installed for this purpose shall be listed and shall be identified as “extra-duty.”

          Orbit’s Adjustable Rings (4SAR1G, 4SAR2G, 5SAR1G, 5SAR2G) are the best in the industry because of their flexible and easy adjustability. With just a Phillips screwdriver you can easily access corner screws and adjust the ring before and after the devices are installed. Adjustments are allowed even after the dry wall has been installed. Furthermore, the adjustment screws are captive and thus will not fall behind the wall during an installation. This is an exclusive Orbit Industries product that is unlike any other ring in the market. 

          The Stud Mounting Adjustable Rings (WBAR1/2G) easily fit 6” x 6” NEMA Enclosures, a size that no other company produces, along with the standard 4” and 4-11/16”.  And because they fit easily into the NEMA Enclosures, they are perfect for data applications. They can be mounted on a wall via stud alone as well with no other support needed. The WBAR1/2G offer a versatility that provide exclusive labor-saving benefits only found from Orbit Industries.

          Extensions (1GX75, 2GX75) for the Adjustable Rings can add an additional 3/4” of depth. When added to the ring itself that gives a total of 2” of depth. Extensions can be added onto one another infinitely, meaning that one can create a flush finish regardless of wall thickness. To install simply mount to an Adjustable Ring with two 8-32 screws.

          Orbit’s Adjustable Rings are the only Rings on the market that allow for an ease of adjustability both before and after the installation of the device. With the Stud WBAR Series easily fitting into 6” x 6” NEMA Enclosures, a first of its kind, and Extensions allowing for adjustability to any depth needed, the Adjustable Rings are the best rings in the industry. Conduit Locking Connector (CLCSL)

        Orbit’s conduit locking connector securely installs threaded rigid conduit to the back of steel boxes with ½” or ¾” KO’s. The connector features a set-screw, locknut, and hooks to protect any fixture from rotating after installation.

Installation of Conduit Locking Connector. 1) Fasten CLCSL to the threaded conduit. 2) Tighten screw on the conduit. 3) Secure conduit to box using the locknut. 4) Mount seismic wires to surroundings.

        The hooks on the CLCSL prevent junction boxes from rotating by inserting itself to the holes located on the back of any steel box. The set-screw and locknut are tightly screwed in to ensure proper installation and correct fixture positioning. The CLCSL is also available in both a ½” and ¾” sizes.

        The increased width and depth of the FA-5SXB-5075 accommodates for extra deep devices and added wire capacity which eliminates the risk of damaging wires. The Exclusive Tiger Grip Box

       
        Typically narrow, the standard Tiger Grip boxes would cause frustration when fitting the wiring device into the constricted space. With a wide design, the TGW eliminates the need to pack in all the electrical components into a standard TG box. This product saves time and the trouble of installing large devices into a tight space. In addition, the TGW includes old-work clips that allow the installer to clamp the box to the drywall with ease. For more options, Orbit also offers the Old Work Tiger Grip (TGMW) Box that is both wide and deep with a total of 18.5 cubic inches of space.

The Ultimate Support Bracket

        The USB is one of Orbit’s most versatile prefab products. This product allows the installer to mount the USB horizontally as a stud-to-stud wall bracket or vertically as a floor/kick-in bracket. The installer can also fit up to three 4S/5S boxes on a single USB using the available snap-on mounting brackets. Even more, a built-in MC/pipe support is included on the bracket system to eliminate the need of a separate MC/pipe support and installation.
 

Can be horizontally or vertically mounted

        The greatest advantage of this system is the flexibility of installation. The USB can be adjusted from 14” to 24” in stud spacing or 8” to 24” for floor heights, making it the most adaptable bracket system. With the steel box mounting brackets snapped on, the installer can slide any 4S/5S box at a specific height and modify it after installation if needed. This makes it easy to place a steel box on a stud which ultimately gives the installer adjustable freedom to adapt and change the bracket to the needed height requirement.

        The EALB can be used to easily hang lighting fixtures, security cameras, exit signs, motion detectors, and other low voltage equipment. Once the box housing is mounted, the installer simply slides the cover plate into the box with the fixture mounted, completes the wiring with the side-panel exposed, and easily closes the box with the detachable side. Installation times are cut in half and the installer can safely move on to the next project. Even more, the EALB is UL rated to hold up to 90 lbs, enough to support almost any fixture.

         Another great advantage of using the EALB is the ability to change covers between the standard plate and the readily available swivel cover plate. The swivel cover, or the EALBS, plate offers more flexibility with a 20 degree swivel angle which reduces the impact on any fixture when struck. This is a great product that can be used for seismic retrofitting or in areas subjected to motion or vibrations. In addition, the EALBS can be used on slightly sloped ceilings to give you more installation options.
